The latest version of Mapper is 1.2. It includes shaded land and/or sea, printing of the map and information on each of the Variants, as well as all the features of Version 1.1. It comes with the following variants :
1410, 1898, Aberration, Asia, Britain, Chaos, Chromatic, Crowded, Fleet_Rome, Hundred, Loeb9, Milan, Modern, MousNa, Pure, RootZ, Shift_Left, Shift_Right, Standard, Wraparound, Youngstown.
It can be downloaded here.
If you have any questions about Mapper, then check out the Mapper FAQ.
You can also add new variants. To do so, firstly download This batch file into your mapper directory. Because of the number of problems this batch file has been having during downloading, it is now zipped, so you need to unzip it.
Then download the zip file for for the Variant of your choice. The variant files for a large number of variants can be found on The Variants Page.
Unzip the zip file into your mapper directory, and then at a DOS prompt, cd into your mapper directory, and type variadd [filename].vad.
The variant should then be recognised by Mapper. If you are having trouble with the batch file, click here for more help.
